Cathode
BLUESTAR(HONGKONG) has launched different series of cathode coatings to the market, which can play a key role in chlor-ali operation. The arrow indicates the direction of electron entry into the cell (or other device) (downward). In electrochemical processes, the cathode is the at which reduction occurs. In an electrolytic cell, the cathode is the position where negative polarity is applied. Common applications of cathodic reduction include the preparation of metals by hydrogen or metal ions.
Catalytic layer:
The electrode is activated by the continuous deposition of a precious metal catalytic oxide layer, which enables or promotes the electrochemical reaction. The coating formulation based on platinum group metals such as iridium, ruthenium, platinum, palladium, and rhodium. These components and the deposition process determine the properties the coating, which can promote the occurrence of the main reaction while suppressing the side reactions. The coating thickness ranges from 1 to 100 microns and adhere to strict coating deposition specifications.
